Here, we study how historic wetland drainage permanently changed soil properties in the Great Dismal Swamp (Virginia/North Carolina). I contributed to this work as an undergraduate researcher during an NSF-funded Research Experience for Undergraduates at Virginia Tech (summer 2019).
